“I’d rather have a passport full of stamps than a house full of stuff.”
A dear friend of mine recently sent me this quote. It’s ironic considering my current situation. As I mentioned in my last blog post, I lost most of my belongings in a recent flood, but somehow my beloved passport and travel memoirs survived. Just a week later my car window was smashed in by a thief and I lost more of my belongings. And two days after that someone hit my car and drove off (luckily we were able to get the license plate number!). Enough of the pity party, but my point is all these life disasters reminded me that all these disasters can’t destroy my most valuable possessions. And those possessions are the friendships I’ve made and the memories I’ve created during my travels. Cheers to more adventures!
